“Tootmiskoondis “Impro”” is an occasional concert series of freely improvised music. It is organized by Roomet Jakapi and Jaanus Siniväli.

The forth concert in the series features:

  • Jukka Kääriäinen (FIN) – guitar
  • Maria Jönsson (SWE) – flute
  • Jaanus Siniväli (EST) – double bass

    The event is free.

    Jukka Kääriäinen is a Finnish musician specialised in experimental and free improvised music. Jukka’s instruments vary between plain acoustic and prepared guitar to back bag of pedals, live-electronics and bowed electric guitar. Jukka has toured many European countries such as Italy, Hungary, France, Germany, Russia and Estonia. Alongside solo concerts Jukka has been collaborating with musicians like Teppo Hauta-Aho, Kalle Kalima, Lauri Hyvärinen, Ilia Belorukov, Harri Sjöström, Roomet Jakapi, Pauli Lyytinen, Emilio Gordoa and Paul Pignon.

    Maria Jönsson is a Swedish musician who finished B.A. in Iceland on flute teaching 2016 and in 2018 she finished her master in Contemporary Performance and Composition from Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm. Her interests lie in how graphics are translated into sounds and networks in composition.

    Jaanus Siniväli is creator of sound based multidisciplinary pieces, performer of contemporary classical music and improviser (free improvisation). His main performing setups include double bass and modular synthesizer.
