Kohting toimub Genialistide Klubi suures saalis.

Alex Wulf creates high energy techno inspired by mythology and fueled by experiments.
Born into the collapsing Soviet Union, Wulf found his escape in the ruins of the ’90s by watching MTV. There he first encountered his influences – The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, and Moby. He was experimenting with crude tape recordings and cheesy synthesizers, but later, thanks to a local DnB DJ, he got his hands on Fruity Loops. His early productions were highly experimental, using sounds from a disc of old computer games. In 2008, he moved to Paris and became involved in the fashionable new rave scene. At that time he turned to electro music. That chapter lasted until 2014, when a visit to a friend in Berlin turned into an extended stay—one that marked the birth of the Alex Wulf techno project.
Wulf’s sound has continuously evolved over the years. In 2017, he began collecting music equipment, starting with a 70s spring reverb mixer. This led him down a path of unhinged sonic exploration with distortion pedals, analog compressors, and experimental sound processing. Today, his music is driven by bold, hypnotic energy—fusing Eastern aesthetics, field recordings, and self-built music hardware with his signature tight groove.
A passion for experimentation has led Wulf to build his own music hardware—both out of curiosity and necessity. In 2019, after realizing he couldn’t afford a filterbank, a friend challenged him to build one. The DIY approach has since become a defining part of his sound, offering both complete creative freedom and access to sonics that no one else has. Partly because he’s always recording test sessions and sometimes, broken circuits produce sounds that can never be replicated once “fixed.”
His first-ever live performance as Alex Wulf took place at Mem Festival in Bilbao in 2016. Over the 20 years, he has played around 400 shows in unique locations—from barns with hay still inside to a helicopter landing pad, a Parisian chocolate shop, and even an italian amusement park (where he was kicked off after 3 tracks for being too intense). His future sound leans toward extraverted, maximalist energy, akin to The Chemical Brothers in the early 2000s. He seeks to inject raw emotion and spontaneity back into the genre.
His releases span labels from Estonia’s underground scene (Trash Can Dance, Õunaviks) to international imprints like Ohm Series Digital (Denmark) and Clan Destine (Scotland). The latter released his cassette album ShadoWar —a project five years in the making, deeply influenced by the Ukrainian war and Wulf’s own Ukrainian roots. His past also includes a pioneering release under Robodada Records, where he helped launch one of the first USB albums in the world in 2008—Popdada Nites, a USB bracelet loaded with a custom music player shaped like a water pistol.
Currently, he is working on the next Alex BeoWulf release, drawing inspiration from old-school rave and the soundtrack of the Shotgun Roulette game. In Denmark, he is refining his live setup, integrating MIDI and analog synthesis for an even more dynamic performance. He is also finalizing his self-built filterbank, which will feature prominently in upcoming music, and has plans to construct a custom techno drum machine that will form the backbone of his next sound. On top of that, he is preparing a secret project—an experimental approach to turning everyday objects into colossal, unheard sounds.
With a relentless drive to push boundaries, Alex Wulf continues to shape the future of techno—one experiment at a time.
